Carney's appointment comes with a strong track record of recognition in the legal field. He has been selected as one of The Best Lawyers in America for insurance law and product liability litigation. Additionally, he has been named to the Great Plains Super Lawyers list and holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest level of professional excellence

In addition to his new role, Carney is expanding his practice in Alternative Dispute Resolution. He will continue to serve as a panel arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, a position he has held since 2019, and plans to launch a mediation practice.

Outside of work, Carney enjoys spending time with his family, attending sporting events, and following teams such as the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Creighton Bluejays. He also enjoys golfing, skiing, and traveling in his leisure time.
